In the table below you will find the latest versions of the rules for hot air balloon competitions.
One document lists all changes from the 2002- to the 2003 version. If you insert these changes in your rule book of last year, you will have an up to date rule book. New is the 'AXMER for GPS Loggers'. This set of rules was developed to reflect the need the provide rules that standardize the use of GPS loggers for Observation, Task Setting and Scoring purposes. Until further notice, the rules can be used for any competition except World or Continental championships. Officials as well as competitors are encouraged to send their comments on these rules to the AXMER Working Group. Furthermore your attention is drawn to the COH (Competition Operation Handbook). The COH is a must for any official and highly recommended to competitors as well. It contains a wealth of information on how to run a successful event and gives the ambitious competitor a good background why thing are done this or that way. |
